A bruised toe is best treated with the R. I. C. E. method: Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Rest your foot by removing your shoe and sitting. Apply ice for 30 minutes every two hours. Apply compression to the entire foot with an elastic bandage. Elevate the foot so that it is at least parallel to the ground. Do this for three days.

First was your bruised toe. Then pat it dry. Leave it for a few minutes and then apply some anti septic over the bruise. Leave it for a few minutes. Then apply some medicine preferably a cream over it and put a Band-Aid over it. It would help in healing it fast.

If the skin is broken, make sure it is clean and keep it moist with a triple antibiotic ointment, as well as covered with a large flexible bandage. Check it daily to make sure there are no signs of infection. Time is going to be your best help on this one, baby it, and don't wear shoes unless necessary.

Bruises on the foot can be treated with ice, which prevents swelling. Also, try to keep your foot a little elevated to keep inflammation down, and rest your foot.
