Basically just make a nice vegetable stew using beer for liquid and allow your pork hocks to cook in this "stew" until tender. Then remove the meat and vegetables and serve with coarse dark bread, sour cream and a heavy dark beer. Cabbage and onions fried in bacon drippings makes a great side for this meal.

You should prepare German pork hocks in German for the best results. If you are going to prepare it in German then you can either speak German to it or you can just prepare it in English in Germany. You could also take it to a German person and have them prepare it.

Put the pork hocks in boiling water with some split peas and make split pea soup. After they have boiled for a really long time take them out.

Go buy two meaty pork hocks, onions, leeks, potatoes, celery, salt, pepper, and beer of your choice. Wash and dice all the vegetables then cook all the ingredients except the beer and cumin until tender. Drain the cooking liquid from the vegetables and hocks, reserving the liquid and vegetables. Put vegetables, hocks and some of the liquid in a pan.
