Their really isnt any thinh different about the lug studs for a Toyota then other cars except that you need the proper Toyota tool. This tool is located in the trunk and fits securely over the lug. Its more of a anti theft device that makes it difficult for some one to steal your wheels.

Place the vehicle on jackstands, Then remove the wheel from the hub assembly and check all other studs for thread damage. finally remove the brake caliper and any other components that will prevent removal of the brake rotor. Install New lug studs, and re-assembly is reverse of removal.

First the lug nut must be removed. It should come out through the back of the rotor. You can use a special tool to press it out or use an old lug nut and hammer it out the back. The new one can the be installed using spacers and a lug nut to draw it into place.

You must remove the hub/axle out of the vehicle and bang the bad stud out with a hammer, replace with the new stud only if you have impact tools.

After removing the wheel, you need to disassemble the rotor so you are able to swap out the studs with new ones.

The first thing to do is to remove your wheel. Then remove your brake caliper and secure it out of the way. Next remove the rotor from the spindle. The using a press or old lug nut and a hammer drive the wheel stud out. The install the new lug buy pressing it in or by using a lug nut.

If you are wanting to install this type of lug stud you will need to get under the car. You can input the lug where it should be eventually placed.
