How often should I take my cat to the vet?

My cat hasn't been to the vet in about 3 years. Is that OK?

Cats need yearly vaccines and preventatives at the least. Especially if your cat is an outdoor, he needs more care and attention from a vet more than once every 3 years.

Based on a cat's lifespan, that would be the same as you not seeing a doctor for two decades. Cats should see a vet every 6-12 months.

Cats should see a vet at least once a year, for a checkup and blood work. If they're seniors (over 12 years old) they really should have checkups every six months. You might want to set up an appointment as soon as you can to get on track with your cats healthcare.

No its not at all okay, you need to show a lot of care for your pets specially cats because they can catch a numerous diseases very easily if their immunity is not good. You should at least take your cat to the vet once in every 15 days without fail for a regular checkup. "Prevention is better than Cure"

If the cat is in good health, three years is not too terribly long to go without a visit to the vet's office. But annual check-ups to get shots and other important things is normally suggested, so you should go every year,
