When it comes to determining the appropriate bathing frequency for dogs, activity levels and skin condition are more important considerations than size. A very active dog who spends a lot of time outdoors will require more baths than an inactive indoor one. Dogs with normal skin can tolerate more frequent bathing than those with sensitive skin or other skin conditions.

Hairy dogs should bathe more than short-haired dogs, but if your dog lives indoors and does not have much access to a yard of land need not take many baths.

Depending on the coat type and personal preference, a dog should be bathed when it gets dirty or smelly. At most twice a week to prevent loss of natural oil.

You could bath your dog up to once a week. Your dog should not be over bathed as their skin is very sensitive can dry-out or become irritated by the soap that you bath them with.
