A normal treatment is 10 injections over 5 weeks. It would be abnormal to do less, but you may be required to do more. The long and the short of it is that you need to do what your vet says to do.

Typically the hormone shots are given as 10 injections within a 5 week period. After this time the dog is reassessed.

Hormone shots are not suggested for this condition. Castration is the preferred method of treatment. This will also cut down on the number of cases that are diagnosed in the canine population as a whole. Hormone therapy rarely works and can result in major health problems such as cancer the testical(s) are/is not removed.

You need to go to your local vet clinic and first be prescribed the shot of hormones for your dog then your vet will also explain to you how many shots your dog will need and how long of a time line between shots it should be and how long you need to give your dog the shots
