How much pollution is produced annually by burning fossil fuels?

It is estimated that burning fossil fuels produces 21.3 gigatonnes of Carbon Dioxide annually. Approximately half of that amount is removed through natural processes. US coal burning plants are said to generate 2.5 billion tons of Carbon Dioxide and automobiles world wide are estimated to generate 1.5 billion tons as well.

There are numerous risks in burning fossil fuel. It is bad for the environment. A lot of toxins is released into the air and poses a health risk to everyone.
