There are different ways of looking at that. Do you mean the US Government or people in the US. Our GDP (Gross Domestic Product) last year was around 15 trillion dollars, but there are other ways to measure "how much money the US makes in a year" than GDP.

Based on the estimated population of the USA (307 million), you would multiply half of that(considering that there is high unemployment rate and others who can't work)by the average income of 46,000 per capita income and get 7,000,000,000,000 dollars. That's about 7 trillion dollars! I assume your question is asking ofr a total and not an average.

This question can be answered in two ways. The first and the oen I will address is how much money does the United States Government print and therefore make each year, after disposing of worn out currency. I am not exactly sure but it doesn't seem to be enough.

The us does not make money, the spending is outrageous and the deficit is now trillions. The us spends more than it actually makes. The only way than they can make money is to raise taxes
