The destination determines how much postage will be for mail delivery, and that includes air mail. Yes, using air mail significantly reduces traveling time, yet increases cost.
Postage for airmail all depends on weight and destination. Finding an actual rate without more information is almost impossible. But it's at least, $4.00 more than standard mail and up. As for being faster, it sure is!
