Magicians can charge by the hour or by the job. A fair range is from $100 to $1,000 per job. Depending on the age of the children, the magician's tricks will be easier or harder, thus the cost will be lower or higher. The magician's years of experience are also a cost factor.

All the info below is nonsense - this is the only correct post (excepet some magicians are more than 1k!) as magician vary so much. It's a bit like asking how much a band is. U2 are more expensive than a school band of teenagers who just enjoy it  add a comment

a good magician, for a birth day party should be in the range of 175.00 to 500.00 for an hour any person charging less than that, well lets just say, buyer beware!!!!! 250-350 is good.

It depends on the range of abilities of the magician and his or her reputation. But if you are just looking for a magician to entertain children with simple tricks, it usually costs $150-200 per hour. You can easily find them via yellow pages or agencies. Make sure to talk about which tricks he will do beforehand.

It depends on the magician and their skills. I have seen magicians charge from $50 TO $300 an hour. I would just call around and get an estimate.

For one it depends on where you live. You will have to do a search in your yellowpages there to find them and find out the pricing. Where I am at it ranges from 100 bucks a hour to 500 bucks a hour.

There are a few different prices for a magician. The bigger the city, the better the prices. So, if you dont live in a big city, you will want to check the nearest one to you. The more choices, the better the price. They cost around 20.00 an hour.

If you get a magician for $20 an hour, he is not a magician! No magician worth his/her salt for leave their house for less than $125 and that is CHEAP!  add a comment

$20 an hour? You meant $200 right? DO NOT HIRE a magician for less than $150.....ever. You will not get good quality unless you pay for it.  add a comment

A good magician for kids should run someone where between $50 to $100 per party. Most are going to charge by the event, not by the hour. Generally a a magician will not perform more than 10 minutes or so, but will hang around an mingle.

A stand-up magic show usually at least 30 min. Sometimes 45 min. But you can also have walk around magic, where close-up magic is performed for a few minutes each to 1 small intimate group or table at a time, and then magician moves to the next group or table.  add a comment
