there is not average property tax, it depends on who taxes the property, ( City - County - School), what their budget is and what is the assessed value of your property, together with the assessed value of all the other property in you assessment district. The ratio is taken to determine you tax rate

There is no such thing as average property taxes. Each state has its own formula and how it calculates its taxes. Some places have exemptions, some places don't.

It's called "Location, location, location. " Property taxes are different in each state, by city, by sudivision, by the size of the house. It's very individual and unique. You would need to go to your County Tax Accessor to see what they are for your house. That is something to consider when buying a home.
