How much ammonia is normal in urine?

You may have ammonia smell in your urine, if you are taking less amount of water so concentrated urea in your urine which caused ammonia smell, urea(ammonia) is waste product.

There should not be any ammonia in your urine, but if you are dehydrated it may have a stronger than normal odor. Foods you eat (asparagus is a common culprit) can also have an impact. If drinking more water doesn't help, see a doctor.

Ammonia is a major component of the solid particles in urine known as urea. A heavy ammonia smell can be a sign of dehydration or an urinary tract infection, but not always. If you have any other signs;pain, fever, or nausea, please see a doctor.

The normal range is generally 4. 6-8. 0 however, it can vary depending on which lab you went to they all have their own scale for normal levels. If you are concerned about your level consult with your doctor.
