Six million Jews and about five million other people (including Poles, Soviets, Gypsies, homosexuals, Freemasons, and the mentally or physically handicapped) died during the Holocaust. There is not an exact figure available. People deny it because they refuse to face facts, because they are anti-Semites, or perhaps just because they are crazy.

The number of people who died in the Holocaust may be approx. 17 million. It is hard to know the exact amount because so many different groups aside from the Jews that Hitler targeted. There are people who dispute the amount of people who died saying they escaped to other nations. An exact amount might never be known.
