The process takes at least eight to twelve weeks. You have to submit your transcripts, family financial or tax information and your own banking information. Once you apply it will take time before you will get a positive or negative response.

It an take up to 8 weeks depending on the institution. If you need money right away, you'll either have to use a credit card or take out a loan.

You usually apply for financial aid for an upcoming academic year. It takes quite awhile as the money is not credited to your account (or to your college until about a month into each semester. If your need is immediate, private loans may be the best option, as financial aid will likely not give you immediate money.

The process is not immediate. If you are enrolled in school federal financial aid is disbersed as specified dates during the year and only if you qualify. You need to visit your schools financial aid office for further details.
