A puppy will continue to chew at least until he stops teething, but some dogs continue to chew into adulthood. Give your dog many chew toys and praise him when he chews these. A bitter spray is available to discourage your puppy from chewing things you dont want him to.

Depending on the breed of the puppy it could be instict for them to chew on things. There is no given amount of time that a puppy is going to chew on things, but its possible to train them to stop.

Providing you have numerous chew toys for them, puppies will lose all their baby teeth around one year. If they don't have chew toys, could even be quite longer.
