It will take two and half to three months to recover, depending on how it is broken. If it is a clean break, it will take longer. If it's a hairline fracture, the heal time is on the lower end of the spectrum. The tricky part about healing is to make sure to rest it and refrain from use.

A broken humerus take six to eight weeks to mend. You should really take it easy for another four to six months or so to avoid re-ingury. It could take as much as a year to completely mend. Of course, when the weather changes, the break sight will ache - personal experience!

Typically, in the world of clean breaks and no needed surgery recovery time for a young healthy adult is six to twelve weeks.
