How long do you have to get the accident record to your insurance company?

I was in an accident three weeks ago, due to my being in the hospital I was unable to get the records to te insurance company.

I don't believe there is a specific time frame. Once requested, they will keep the claim open for a specific amount of time. After that they simply close the claim.

Typically, there is no requirement by insurers for you to obtain a police report on your time, at your expense. If you do obtain a report, especially at the request of the insurer, demand a refund for the expense, which can exceed $20 per report in most cases.

first of all just you call your insurance company. collect the proofs of your accident. take photogaraphs of your wounds and injuries. get medical certificates from your doctor.

it is depend upon the type of accident, when i was in an accident, my father was getting all records from the hospital and apply for insurance
