Format for a one-hour soap opera is a total of 22 minutes of show content that is divided into six acts with two-minute commercial breaks in between and two-minute segments for opening and closing credits. In general, one page of script dialogue equals one minute of airtime.

Soap opera scripts are pretty long... probably somewhere around 50 to 70 pages at the minimum. that would be for a long episode.

Scripts for soap operas are going to be a huge stack probably a couple hundred sheets up paper. Think of how many words are said in an episode.....

The length of the scrip would be determined by how long you want the soap opera to be. Some are a half an hour, others are longer. Focus on character and plot development and then determine how long you can write for.
