How long after it is installed should I fertilize sod?

i waited two week and kept it water real good and the i fertilize it and it real good jusy water i good so it dont burn up

After laying the sod, you should top dress with 1/3" of compost, and then follow with an organic fertilizer.

After laying sod, you should be sure to water the new grass immediately to prevent yellowing however fertilizing should be performed within the first four to seven days. You will need to be sure that it is spread evenly otherwise patching will occur.

The proper time to fertilize sod is after the root system as bonded to the soil underneath. Before fertilizing the sod should be watered frequently and kept damp so a new root system can be established. You can do it right away if you want it just depends on how soon you want is to grow something for you. Flowers take alot out of soild just like vegetables the earlier you get it on the better your lluck growing will be.
