How is osteo-sarcoma treated in dogs?

Does it hurt the dog?

Pain medications, leg amputation, and chemotherapy or radiation. Surgery can be hard, but removes the pain of the bone tumor,most dogs adjust well, and have less chemo side-effects than people_do.

Osteosarcoma is bone cancer and spreads rapidly. Treatment usually includes amputation (if possible) and radiation. The treatments will most likely hurt the dog same as a humam cancer patient.
