How hard is returning to work after maternity leave?

It may be tough until you get used to working again. You just had a baby you will probably be really tired and sore.

This question is very different from person to person. Some people can't bare the thought of leaving their newborn with someone to go back to work. Some people, like myself, get stir crazy and aren't meant to be a stay at home mom. Both of my kids went to in-home daycare within 3 weeks of birth.

I am a very active person and staying at home all the time is just not for me. So, going back to work for me was difficult from the stand point of not being with my newborn for 8 hours out of the day, however, it was great to be getting out the house and being an adult again.

For a new parent, it can be heartbreaking. It is important that you know and trust the person who will be taking care of your child while you are back at work.
