How does the efficiency of a small turbine engine compare to that of a piston engine?

large turbines are more efficient than piston engine, but below 30 kW the small turbine efficiency falls below. The blades become relatively thick, lowering their aerodynamic efficiency, and the clearance between the blades and the enclosure becomes relatively large, resulting in pressure leaks. This is mostly a materials problem.

A turbine engine is more efficient as there are fewer parts moving during the combustion cycle and these parts do not have to return to their original positions to work.

The efficiency of a small turbine engine will have more mpg then of a piston engine since they are using more fuel of a piston engine in order to get more horsepower when it comes to driving in full force or off road driving. These two engines will really show the difference in trucks.
