Men do not get sick from HPV, or (as far as we know) suffer from increased risk for any form of cancer. They are carriers, however, and can infect women who will then suffer from a dramatically higher risk for cervical cancer.

Men can be carriers of HPV and also get genital warts if they contract one of the strains that cause genital warts (not all do). Being infected with HPV also puts men at a slightly higher risk of penile cancer.

HPV doesn't affect men the exact same way it does with women. In men, HPV can cause genital warts and other life long problems. Certain strains of HPV can cause certain cancers of the genital area. But for the most part, HPV doesn't show symptoms in men.

The HPV virus is the most commonl transmitted sexual disese. Most men who contract one of the 40 types of HPV never have symptoms or medicall problems. Some types, however, cause genital warts or penile cancer or anal cancer. Penile and anal cancers are rare in men with healthy immunity. Gay and bisexual men are more prone to HPV infection.
