How does an undercoat rake work?

I keep brushing my dog, but he's still shedding.

The undercoat rake will remove the second coat that builds up next to the dog's skin. You'll notice that if you don't rake it out, the undercoat builds up into little knots. If your dog has a double coat, I can guarantee you that the shedding problem comes down to breed characteristics. Try more regular baths, and that will help.

an undercoat rack should be used late spring to early summer and it reduces sheddding but it doesn't mean it will stop shedding at all.
