The best thing to use on poison oak is pink calamine lotion. It soothes the itching and at the same time helps get rid of the welts and red spots caused by the allergic reaction. After taking a luke warm bath, apply calamine lotion to entire infected area as many times as needed a day.

Wash the area thoroughly with soap and cold water. Wash all the clothes you were wearing when affected. Applying Calamine lotion and taking anti-histamines may help a little- however, if the rashis severe, or you hare having breathing problems, call an ambulance immediately.
