It will take alot of will power and probably a complete lifestyle change for you to stop. If the alcohol is the problem then there are plenty of alcohol free beers and lagers on the market. These should satisfy your cravings. Although the alcohol will not be present, if you are an alcoholic then seek help.

First you choose to drink more expensive beers and ales. This will curtail your amount of beer while improving your sensibilities. I would suggest a good Trappist style ale - Chimay or Orval. Next, after you have altered your tastes switch to wine, which is even more expensive than beer. This will reduce your beer intake, guaranteed.

It may help you to choose beers with a lower alcohol content than what you are drinking now. It may be harder at first, but it is healthier. If you aren't satisfied, try incorporating the lighter beers in one at a time, and you may come to like them better.

The best way to stop yourself from drinking beer, is by keeping yourself away from any situation where beer is around, such as going out to the bar at night. If you are out, get yourself a water or soda to hold, so you will not be tempted to grab a glass of beer.

You throw all of your beer out the window and then go to the liquor store, steal some whiskey and go insane.
