This is a difficult repair for the novice. You must drain the fuel tank and remove it to get to the fuel filter. Other than those tasks, it is a matter of removing it and relacing it without sparking your tank.
Pretty simple! Buy the replacement, locate the filter (in engine compartment or under chassis), understand the connections, use tub underneath for any spillage, clamp off both fuel lines, switch quickly.
Turn wheels to right. Drain filter. Use ratchet with swivel extension or filter wrench to unscrew filter. Take old filter out through the fender. Transfer red o-ring to new filter and make sure gasket is on new filter. Put new filter on. Start truck, after it dies start it again.
