How do you remove the smell of chlorine?

My sister swam in the pool, and then sat on my couch. How do you get rid of that smell?

The smell of chlorine will gradually go away on it's own with time. If you have a steam cleaner, you can dilute the chlorine particles that cause the odor in your furniture. Another great option is to rub the spot with your favorite laundry detergent, let it dry for a bit, and vacuum it off.

Sprinkle baking soda on the affected area. To avoid clumping, use a hand sifter to distribute the baking soda evenly. Let set one hour. Vaccuum the soda dust thoroughly.

You can take a white wash cloth and rub the stains with diluted vinegar and water. The vinegar will get rid of any bacteria that they left on the couch. After you have lightly wiped down the couch, let the areas air dry and repeat at a later time. You will need to let the fibers rest.
