A gas-powered pressure washer that produces 2500-4000 PSI of pressure may be used to remove paint from brick. Paint stripper paste or gel (not liquid paint stripper) also works.

The first option would be to soak it in paint thinner and then use a stiff wire brush. If that doesn't work, you can rent a sand blaster.

Pressure washing is typically the easiest way to remove paint from brick. If this doesn't work, chemical paint removers such as Jasco will melt the paint off.

It depends on the kind of paint used if it is really possible, or worth wile. Basically, mechanical abrasion is necessary. That means 'sand' blasting. Depending on the paint used, it might be possible with just a high pressure water cleaner. It might help to soften the paint first with a dedicated softening agent.

Very important think is what kind of brick and were it is, in or out. Inside I use some paint removers. Out can try with high water pressure equipment wit some detergents.
