water seeks low spots which is why you have pooling. in order to fix the problem you can resurface the driveway with sealer if the depth of the water pools are less than an 1/8 of an inch. If the water pools are deeper than that then you really should consider redoing the driveway.

You can use salt. Try it. Salt absorbs salt. It is used on driveways in the show, so why won't it work on water. On our driveway in Florida the sun evaporates it quickly.

we have to make a provision on the roof from where water is falling as if to go out of the driveway. we also need to provide a path for the water to run away instead of staging there itself. the water has to be run through a tube, so that it will not effect us.
