Sometimes when a horse is pacing, he is feeling nervous or scared. Get into the stall with the horse and talk to him or brush him. Rub down his back or side to calm him.

Give your horse somthing else to do. He is bored. He needs a chew toy or a ball to kick around so he is not bored. Also be sure when he is out he gets plenty of exercise so when he is returned to his stall he is tired and wants to relax.
