The best way to potty train rabbits is with a litter box with shavings in it. Put some used shavings (with feces and urine in them) in the box with the fresh litter and let them investigate, continue to place them in there and PRAISE highly when they use it.

Rabbits, especially males, like to use the same spot, so initialy, put the tray with some sawdust in that spot, and you can move it gradualy when the tray habit has become established. When you clean the tray, put back a little soiled sawdust so he remembers!

Rabbits are by nature clean animals. If a litter box is provided in their cage they will use it. If a house rabbit will establish a specific spot for urination. Keeping a clean litter box in that location will encourage the rabbit to continue to return to that particular place.
