How do you pawn a ring?

You take the ring(it has to be of a precious metal) and take it to the pawn shop. They will assess it as to its value to them. Usually weigh it for scrap value. Then give you a choice to pawn or sell.Pawn -you will get a ticket and you have so much time to pay it back plus interest.

You go to a pawnshop and they will appraise the ring, give you the appraisal value and you get your cash as a loan for a certain period of time. You can get it back by paying the loan amount plus the interest agreed upon in the contract.
