If you are referring to per call caller ID blocking, and you are working with a land line phone in the USA, simply dial *67 prior to dialing the rest of the number. This feature is also enabled by some cellular companies in the USA using the same method.

To unlock your phone number you will need your mobile phone number, the country it is located it, model number and manufacter. I would call an operator because that is the easiest and safest way of making sure your phone will be unlocked. Most likely it will cost some money because you are changing the phone from its initial setup.

Well, there is no way to lock your phone number. I mean you could lock your phone. There are some security features on phones that will allow you to enter your password. Then they will ask you for the password for unlocking. This is a good way to protect your privacy.

Currenly having a phone with that phone number is enough of a "lock" that you don't have to do anything else. Most phone carriers can transfer your number even if you switch providers as well. If you're going away or something, buy a cheap prepaid phone to "lock" the number.

just type in something like *67 and then the number so it will show up as a private number and they can not see i then.
