The most common signs of crabs are itching and raised reddened areas in the pubic region. This is particularly common at the base of hair follicles.

If you are experiencing an extreme itchiness to the genital area, this could be a possible major sign of crabs. Another symptoms or sign would be to see the little white eggs in your pubic hair. These egss are known as nits and can be noticed crawling. If you have these symptoms call your doctor for advice.

You may be able to see the crabs or find their eggs close to the shaft of pubic hairs. Crabs live off of blood so it may be possible to find bluish spots where they have been feeding. You may also experience itching and irritation caused by their pincers. They are common and easily treated.

Crabs are in the same family as lice. So you will have similar symptoms - a lot of itching, the ability to find nits in your pubic hair and little crabs infesting your body.

They can also crawl up your external urethral meatus (pee-hole) so I always open it up slightly and look with a magnifying glass. your pee may sting, try to pee into a bowl and look in it with your magnifying glass also
