The first sign that you're having a miscarriage is usually vaginal bleeding. A little spotting is normal in pregnancy, but in a miscarriage it will be more than spotting.

Most times, during a miscarriage you will experience painful cramping in your abdominal area as well as heavy bleeding. It is however, different for all women. Some women have no cramping, just bleeding, while others have painful cramps with no bleeding. If you're concerned call your doctor.

Heavy bleeding and cramps that resemble menstrual cramps or labor pains are key signs. If you start bleeding and there are very large clots, chances are that you are having one. If you think that you are, consult our physician.

If you think you are miscarrying go to your doctor. Often times you will start off by having really big cramps. Next you will start to bleed. Usually it's a very heavy bleed. You will then expel the contents of your uterus. If it's an early miscarriage usually it will happen all on it's own.
