It is quite easy to tell if a mouse is pregnant. Within the first few days of conception the pregnant mother often has a sperm plug covering her genital area which can be seen by lifting the tail. Mice also get really really big about 3-5 before giving birth.

The gestation period for a mouse is between 18-20 days. Mice that are pregnant will gain weight, you will notice mammary development (enlarged nipples), and will display nesting behaviors.

After a female mouse is impregnated by a male mouse, her gestation period is only between eighteen and twenty-one days. While the mouse is pregnant, she will eat more than usual and her belly rounds so she becomes pear-shaped. She can give birth to any where from two babies to ten.

The nipples on the mouse will be drooping. also the stomach of the mouse will be much larger. if your mouse has doubled in size, she is most likely pregnant! congrats!
