First put an outdoor receptical on the outside of the house. See what the floodlight instructions as for as amps. You will need a power supply for the floodlight, you can also attach decorative outdoor lightning or Christmas lights. Run the cord from the floodlight to the power supply. Make sure that the cord is for outside. No extension cords.

You must use an approved underground wiring method such as UF to get your wire to the location where you want your lights, Then wire your lights in regular fashion.

You can do it many different ways. One would be to run the wire underground using 14-2 UF, which is rated for direct bariel use. You could also run pvc to each spot you want to put a light. There are adapters that will go on the end of the pvc for your light.

Stop the current to avoid electrical shock by ground fault interrupter. Dig to at least two feet to protect the cable. If cable gets exposed above the ground, then use conduit for prevention. The lighting fixtures should be grounded at the right spot. Check the angle of floodlight to make sure it does not disturb the neighbors or the street.
