The USPS has free Change of Address cards. Otherwise, write a letter stating the old address, info like an account number, and then specify the new address AND effective date.

You need to first submit the change of your address to a post office. You need to also check your other items of mail, such as bills because they sometimes have a space where you can fill in a new address. Make sure to also tell your relatives that you have changed your address.

To submit a change of address, you need to go to your local post office, pick up a change of address form and mail it back to the Postal Service.
