When you need to make an impact with people on your words, you need to get that feeling in you. That feeling that people are sitting there to hear you. It should not make you nervous. It should make you feel proud. Be the man! Always. That's the spirit!  add a comment

The best thing to do is to find one person on each side of the room who have friendly faces and focus on one of them each way that you look. This should help you to relax because you will feel as if you are talking to only one person. Also, be prepared.

Practice, practice, practice! It is the most effective way to really feel comfortable with your speech and not becoming so nervous when giving it. Try to have fun with it.
