How do you get horses to mate?

I put them together, but nothing is happening.

The mare must be in season, and willing to stand for breeding. She will not accept attention from the stallion unless she is in heat. Make sure she is turned out with a stallion, and not a gelding. Leaving them together will eventually result in either a breeding which produces a live foal, or your stud will get kicked seriously.

Before allowing a mare and stallion to interact, you must first be sure that the mare is in heat. If she is not, she will reject the stallion and could seriously injure him in the process. The best thing is to first tease the mare in a safe environment and see her response before proceeding.
