There can be many things wrong with a car door. If its cosmetic, try buffing out the scratch or getting it painted. To fix electrical issues unless you are a pro, get it checked so as to not void the warranty. If its not opening, also get it checked.

First thing to fix the door would be to determine what the problem is. Most likely you are talking about an alignment issue. This would require adjusting the alignment to get the door to seat/seal properly. Some cars use adjustment bolts to change the angle, pitch and yaw of the door.

It depends on what is wrong and what experience you have. Body works issues should probably be taken care of by a body shop and mechanics fixed by a mechanic.
