How do you find your target heart rate?

Is it a combination of weight and age?

Generally, one's target heart rate for exercise is about 70-75% of the person's maximum heart rate. A rough but slightly inaccurate way to find this is 220 - current age.

Subtract your resting heart rate from your maximum heart rate (220-age). Multiply this by 60% and 80% and add those numbers to your resting heart rate for your correct range.
