Surface area of rectangle can be obtained by multiplying length of the rectangle with its breadth. for example if a rectangle has length 10 centimeters and breadth 5 centimeters then its surface area is 10 X 5 = 50 square centimeters.

It is very simple arithmatics. For example you take this monitor screen. Measure both the longer side(length) and shorter side(breadth) of the rectangle. and let us say Length is 30mm and breadth is 20mm. Multipy this L with B. The result is 600 sq mm. You are browsing on this monitor screen which has 600 sq mm area

It is very easy to compute the area of a rectangle, you just have to multiply the length of the two sides.

The area of a rectangle is length times height. The surface area of a rectangular box is the area of all six sides. Surface area = 2 * length * width + 2 * length * height + 2 * width * height.
