Contact the school district about behavior intervention. In some school districts they can provide the child with a behavior interventionist at school that can work with the teacher to control his outbursts.

You need to make sure that your sons fellow students are aware of his Autism if they aren't already. There isn't much that can be done except for keeping your son, his classmates and his teacher safe from accidents or injuries that may occur during these outbursts he is having.

The first priority should be the safety of all the students. After spending a bit of time calming him let him make a choice so he feels in control.

You should consider if a public school has adequate amenities for your son's needs. His teacher should be aware of what his usual behavior is and how to accommodate him. If his outbursts are not allowing him to focus in school, you may want to consult a doctor.

I would see if there are any consultants with your school board, who deal with children with autism. If not, speak to the parents of the student and the principal.

By responding calmly and firmly to the child. Assess what the child needs, or if the child is ill. Use a behavioral modification plan put in place by the school.
