Everything should be centered on the page. Go 1/3 of the way down the page. Type your title, then a colon, then enter and enter your subtitle. Double space and type your name, double space and enter the course number, double space again and type the professor's name. Finally, double space and type the due date.

There are plenty of examples of an MLA cover page online. It's difficult to explain the details of spacing and centering in the limited space allowed here.

What actually goes on a cover page depends on the purpose for which you are writing the paper. At the very least, you will want to space down about one-third of the space from the top of the page and center the title of the paper or document. Insert a double space and then center your name.

It is double spaced, text centered and broke into thirds. The title is on top, the writer's name in the middle and the class, professor's name and date on bottom.
