Use rubbing alcohol,. Bacitracin, or hydrogen peroxide to clean a wound. You should then bandage it for at least twelve hours to protect it from external bacteria until a scab can form.

If the cut contains dirt wash it with warm water, pour hydrogen peroxide on it also. This will kill bacteria but may also cause a stinging pain. Put antibiotic ointment on the wound. Place a band-aid or bandage around the wound. Make sure to check it often to see if its healing correctly. If it worsens, seek medical treatment.

You have to use warm soap and water. Make sure all of the dirt is washed away. For a few days you may want a bandage on the cut to keep it clean. Inspect everyday for redness or pus, both sins of infection.
