One way to care for grease burns in to place burn cream on the burn marks regularly in order to reduce the scar and allow it to heal with air instead of a bandage.

Cold aloe vera gel can help - keep it in the refrigerator. Make sure the area is moisturized. If it starts to ooze or look infected, see the doctor immediately.

If the burn is at all serious, you should have it checked by a doctor. As for preventing scarring, this may not be possible, depending upon the severity of the burn. The best you can do on your own is to keep it clean and apply antibiotic ointment regularly.

Take care of it as you would any other burn. Wash it gently, and pat dry. I recommend putting either ice or aloe vera on it to dull the pain. Also apply neosporin or something similar to help reduce the scar.

Flush the burn with lots of water. Keep the blisters intact as long as possible. Use antibacterial soap to clean the area 2 to 3 times a day.
