How do you calm extreme anxiety about potty training?

My son is a wreck.

With my daughter is use to set her favorite stuffed animal on her potty chair. We would have her come into the room and look it, then we would start applauding and hugging it for going to the potty. she eventually got the point that it was a good thing to go to the potty.

Children should not be anxious about potty training. If he's a wreck, stop training for a while. Or only reward him when he is successful in using the potty or staying dry for a long time. Do not punish him for accidents.

Well you just have to encourage your child. You should keep praising them. If that does not work, offer them enough incentives for them to be happy about potty training.

I think the best way to calm extreme anxiety about potty training in toddlers is to just back off and let them take the lead. Potty training is a very stressful time for both toddlers and parents.
