The brake system is a sealed hydraulic unit and cannot be manually adjusted; you can, however, adjust the tension of the front brake lever by turning the round numbered wheel on the front handlebar brake bracket. This will increase or decrease the amount of pressure required to activate the front brakes.

All you would have to do is get an adjuster place it in the slot and turn the star wheel downwards to tighten(use the opposite if the slot is in the drum and not the backing plate) do this until you feel slight resistance when you turn the drum. This is for older vehicle.

You can adjust the brakes by replacing the hydrolic fluid, or changing the break pads. Alternatively you can readjust the calipers.

Just under the engine part of your Suzuki is a small bracket. You will need to tighten this bracket, usually with a hex key.
